The following polling booths are open today, Saturday 2 July from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. Voting is compulsory.

Accessibility descriptors

All polling booths are assessed for disability access. ECSA endeavours to secure fully accessible locations wherever possible. However, as the majority of polling booths are only hired for one day, the location of a polling booth is limited to whatever is available resulting in some booths not being fully accessible.

Full Access Fully accessible means that a person in a wheelchair can independently enter and exit the booth.

Assisted Access Assisted access means that a person in a wheelchair may not be able to independently enter and exit the booth, and assistance may be required.

Assisted access can include one, some or all the following:

  • Access ramp does not meet standards
  • No designated accessible parking spot
  • Path of travel from car park may be difficult
  • No accessible toilet

How to complete your ballot paper

When voting in the by-election you will be given a green House of Assembly ballot paper listing all candidates contesting the election.

To ensure your vote is counted, you need to number every square on the ballot paper in the order of your choice.

  • Write the number 1 in the square next to the candidate who is your first choice
  • Write the number 2 next to your second choice
  • Continue by placing the numbers 3, 4, 5 and so on until you have a number in every square.

3 Col Feature Mask 150px Affected by COVID-19 and unable to get to a polling booth?

Bragg electors affected by COVID-19 must contact the call centre on 1300 655 232 to make special voting arrangements.

The Electoral Commission SA (ECSA) is committed to providing a safe environment for all South Australians to exercise their right to vote.

Our overall strategy for responding to COVID-19 and the delivery of the by-election is to:

  • protect the health and safety of voters
  • protect the health and safety of ECSA staff
  • follow the directions of health and government authorities to prevent, where possible, further spread of COVID-19
  • respond promptly and effectively to minimise the impact of the virus including:
    • encouraging physical distancing and personal hygiene management strategies
    • complying with advice from SA Health to prevent and minimise further outbreaks

Protection measures

The following key protection measures will be adopted to limit the spread of COVID-19 among voters and ECSA staff:

Voters

  • social distancing
  • hand sanitising stations
  • queue management
  • bring your own pencil or pen
  • ensuring voting screens are a minimum of 1.5m apart
  • frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces by a dedicated hygiene officer
  • polling officials fully vaccinated.

ECSA staff

  • physical distancing guides to distance voters and ECSA staff when presenting to vote
  • additional cleaning at polling booths
  • frequent use of hand sanitiser
  • procedures for suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 by ECSA staff
