As Term 3 comes to a close, we are proud to reflect on another successful term of electoral education across South Australia.
Over the past 10 weeks, we have engaged with more than 2,600 students from Reception to Year 12, helping to build their understanding of democracy, citizenship and the electoral process.
This term marked the launch of our first digital incursion program, expanding access to electoral education and creating new opportunities for regional students to participate in our learning experiences.
We were pleased to continue supporting Safeguarding Democracy, the South Australian Government initiative designed to strengthen civics and citizenship education for young people. It was fantastic to once again join students, educators and partners at the Active Citizenship Convention at Adelaide Oval, where ECSA staff engaged with the next generation of voters and community leaders.
We were delighted to welcome several schools to our programs for the first time this year. Following positive experiences earlier in the year, many schools expanded their participation, booking additional sessions for other year levels throughout Term 3.
One of the highlights of our work is the strong, lasting relationships we have built with schools across the state. It is rewarding to see these partnerships continue to grow, with schools embedding and expanding their civics and citizenship learning programs year after year with our support.
We look forward to continuing this important work in Term 4 and beyond, empowering young South Australians to become informed, active and engaged citizens.
